How To Beat A Profuse Sweating Problem

Suffering from problem sweating of your armpits is embarrassing and disruptive more often than not. There is a very big difference between regular sweating and a sweating problem. Sweating after physical exertion such as participating in activities like exercise or playing a sport is completely normal and happens to everyone. It’s when you find yourself sweating profusely when you’re just sitting around and doing nothing that you cannot deny that you have a sweating problem. Your life can be greatly affected by your sweating as it can disrupt your personal and social life. Finding a cure for your problem can be an uplifting and life changing experience.

When a sweating problem is extreme there are some medical procedures such as endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS for short) and Botox which is commonly used as a cosmetic surgery procedure to treat wrinkles, which your doctor may discuss with you and even recommend to you. When using the Botox method an injection of small doses of the purified botulinum toxin is injected into the patients armpit or where every the problem sweating originates from. This must be done again anywhere from 6 to 12 months later. Endoscopic Thoracic Sympathectomy is a surgery performed on the nerves in the body which are responsible for excessive armpit sweat. As with all surgeries and injections, these treatments may have side effects and may also cause allergic reactions. Any allergic reaction of side effect must be promptly reported to your doctor and be treated if necessary.

It is not an attractive sight to see a man or a woman in their business outfits at a local diner or restaurant having a lunch meeting with  very large, very obvious sweat patch all around their armpits. Many Hollywood stars have suffered great embarrassment from the publication of pictures of them in beautiful dresses on the red carpet which have been absolutely overshadowed by the presence of prevalent sweat patches under the starlets’ arms. Antiperspirant is a very useful item to help with sweating but it works by clogging the glands. Deodorants are not as effective because as their name suggests, their job is to deodorise the armpits.

Sweating problems should not be able to control your life and dictate things like what you can do and what you can’t and what you can and cannot wear. The first step in finding a remedy for your sweating condition is admitting to yourself and your general practitioner that you are suffering from one and that you need help. You may need to try a few of the different non invasive options before you succeed in finding one that works for you. Surgery should really only be used as a last resort when all other methods have been explored and proven to be unsuccessful.

Once a person who suffers from a sweating problem finds a solution that cures them it can feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of their shoulders. To these people who have been through so much because of their condition, finally being freed from their problem can make them feel like a brand new person, a very pleased and relieved one at that.
